Frasers is an associated office of the international law firm, Freehills. Frasers can back up its commitment to providing innovative, commercial legal advice, through its relationship with Freehills, with the resources and expertise of more than 1000 lawyers, and more than 200 partners, across South-East Asia and Australia.
Freehills undertakes high-level legal work for top multi-national, regional and local companies investing and operating in South-East Asia. Freehills has a reputation as one of the region’s leading law firms across key areas of practice, in particular, banking and finance; infrastructure; energy and resources; and corporate and commercial law.
Freehills established a presence in Vietnam with a representative office in 1994, and was in the first group of foreign law firms to be granted branch office licences in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
In 2004, Freehills reorganised its practice and established an associated office relationship with Frasers in Vietnam.
As an associated office of Freehills, albeit being a separate and independent entity, Frasers maintains its strong relationship with Freehills through various means, including secondments, access to precedents, and administrative support. Freehills’ clients doing business in Vietnam are able to draw on the services of Frasers with the support of the wider Freehills network.
Through a network of offices across Vietnam, Australia, Singapore, and Jakarta, and relationships in Korea and other key commercial centres in Asia, together with Freehills we can provide our clients with:
- seamless legal services, bringing resources together regardless of national or international boundaries
- experienced international and local lawyers on the ground in Vietnam, Australia, Singapore, and Indonesia
- comprehensive knowledge of, and sensitivity to, local cultures and business practices in the region
