Our IP team is led by Dr. Nguyen Van Vien, our senior intellectual property lawyer, who is the Chairman of the Intellectual Property Association of Ho Chi Minh City. His leadership in Vietnam’s increasing commitment to the recognition and enforcement of intellectual property rights also enables Frasers to provide cutting-edge legal advice as one of the most established IP practices in the country.
Numerous papers on intellectual property issues have been produced by members of our IP practice including “Promulgation of an Ordinance on Industrial Designs – An Important Event in the Industrial Life of Vietnam” published by the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), “Promulgation of a Decree on Protection of Industrial Property Rights in Vietnam – Shift from Stimulation to Ownership” published by WIPO, “Lectures on Protection of Inventions and of Trade Marks in Vietnam” and "Intellectual Property Protection of Parallel Import".
