Members of our team have not only acted for telecommunications carriers on matters in Vietnam but also in Australia, Singapore, Canada, and Malaysia.

- Acting for a leading fintech company on an ongoing basis in relation to all aspects of its current and proposed business activities in Vietnam, including conducting detailed technical legal, and practical analyses in relation to each of its proposed new lines of business and products in Vietnam, before they are launched.
- Acting for a software and application developer in relation to a deposit transaction by a potential investor into the company for the purpose of acquiring the shares at the parent level offshore, once the outbound investment license is granted.
- Acting for a leading online payment platform in relation to its successful early round fundraising, involving six investors led by the Australian fund.
- Advising, as local counsel, a major South Korean video game developer and publisher in relation to a dispute arising under an exclusive licence and distribution agreement with respect to the licensing and distribution of, inter alia, copyright of an electronic game in Vietnam.
- Acting as Vietnam counsel for Hong Kong's largest telecommunications company, in relation to the transfer of the proposed business to a partner whose parent company of which is being prepared to be listed in Hong Kong. The business includes, among others, providing digital “over-the-top” music and other audio content subscription service under the transferred brand name, available on smartphones and other internet-connected devices.
- Providing comprehensive Vietnam law advice and assistance to a European mobile game development company in relation to all aspects of the publication of online games in Vietnam, making available to players in Vietnam access to its proprietary online gaming software.
- Advising a leading smartphone producer in relation to its potential entry into the Vietnam market. This involved a comprehensive analysis of Vietnam's telecommunications law and the key legal and regulatory characteristics of the existing players in that sector.
- Acting for a leading Japanese electronics company in relation to its entry into a major long-term Business Cooperation Contract with one of Vietnam’s leading mobile telecommunications companies, involving the development of an automated, customer rewards system to be deployed in relation to partner’s customers.
- Advising one of the world’s largest telecommunications companies on Vietnamese guidelines for secure virtual private networks.
