Dr Nguyen Van Vien is a senior Intellectual Property (IP) lawyer, and one of the founders of the IP system in contemporary Vietnam, with more than 30 years of experience in the field of IP. Dr Vien was the first person in Vietnam to be awarded a Doctorate of Intellectual Property. He is a former Deputy Director of the National Office of Inventions, the forerunner to the National Office of Intellectual Property, and is the current Chairman of the Intellectual Property Association of Ho Chi Minh City and Director of the Vietnam Intellectual Property Institute (VIPI).

Dr. Vien is renowned for his specialist expertise in the formation and protection of intellectual property rights. His leadership in Vietnam’s increasing commitment to the recognition and enforcement of intellectual property rights enables Frasers to provide cutting-edge legal advice as one of the most established IP practices in the country.
