Nguyen Le Quynh Chi

Nguyen Le Quynh Chi is a Senior Associate at Frasers Law Company based in the Ho Chi Minh City office. Chi has over 15 years of legal experience, with a particular focus on commercial dispute resolution. Throughout her practice, she has advised and represented numerous Vietnamese and foreign clients, including international banks, foreign investors, domestic and multinational corporations, shipowners, P&I Clubs, leading underwriters and their legal counsel worldwide, on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters across various industries, particularly shipping, transportation and logistics, international trade, banking and finance, construction and infrastructure and employment.

Quynh Chi has extensive experience representing clients in complex, high-value commercial disputes before Vietnamese courts at all levels and in arbitration proceedings, including those administered by the Vietnam International Arbitration Centre (VIAC). Her practice covers various stages of dispute resolution, from early case assessment, negotiations and mediation to litigation, arbitration and enforcement proceedings. She has also assisted clients with international arbitration matters and the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards in Vietnam.

In addition to her contentious practice, she regularly advises clients on contractual arrangements, legal risk assessment and dispute prevention. Her experience includes reviewing and advising on commercial contracts, shipbuilding and financing arrangements, construction and EPC contracts, facility and security agreements, and other business transactions. She has also assisted clients with internal audits, allegations of fraud or misconduct, and related legal and procedural matters under Vietnamese law.

With an in-depth understanding of Vietnamese court and arbitration practices and a strong commercial mindset, she provides strategic and pragmatic advice tailored to clients' legal and business objectives. Quynh Chi earned her Bachelor of Laws from Hanoi Law University and an LL.M. from the University of Leicester, the United Kingdom. She is admitted to the Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association.
